Travis Scott's Storm Storm Smoothie (Erewhon Copycat)

Travis Scott named his Erewhon smoothie after his daughter Stormi, which is genuinely sweet, and then filled it with chlorella and spinach and dragon fruit kefir, which is genuinely chaotic. The Storm Storm is a two-tone smoothie that looks like the surface of a gas giant planet. Deep magenta-purple dragon fruit swirled with bright vivid green from the spinach and chlorella. The flavor is described as "nature's limeade" which is marketing speak for "it's very citrusy and a little earthy." The two layers are blended separately and then poured together so the colors marble against each other in the cup. It's visually aggressive in the best way. This is the exact recipe with substitutions for the harder-to-find Erewhon brands. Same two-tone effect, same tart citrus flavor, same cactus-green-meets-hot-pink energy. Twenty-two dollars at Erewhon. About six bucks at your kitchen counter. The math on that is simple even for the guy in the $4,000 hoodie who's definitely not doing math.
Ingredients
- FOR THE GREEN LAYER:
- 1 cup fresh spinach
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/4 cup coconut yogurt (plain)
- 1/4 cup coconut milk
- 1 teaspoon chlorella powder (Sun Chlorella or similar)
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 scoop collagen powder (lemon-lime flavor if available)
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup
- 3-4 chlorophyll drops
- FOR THE DRAGON FRUIT LAYER:
- 1 cup frozen dragon fruit chunks
- 1/4 cup frozen pineapple
- 1/4 cup dragon fruit kombucha or coconut water kefir
- FOR THE TOP:
- 1 teaspoon dragon fruit powder
Instructions
- 1
Blend the green layer first
Add the spinach, frozen banana, coconut yogurt, coconut milk, chlorella, lemon juice, lime juice, collagen, maple syrup, and chlorophyll drops to your blender. Blend on high until vivid green and completely smooth. Pour into a bowl or measuring cup and set aside. Rinse the blender.

Blend the dragon fruit layer
Add the frozen dragon fruit, frozen pineapple, and kefir or coconut water to the blender. Blend until smooth. This should be a deep magenta-purple. Keep it thick.
- 3
Layer both into the cup
Pour the green layer into your cup first, filling about half. Then slowly pour the dragon fruit layer over the back of a spoon so it sits on top. The two colors will naturally bleed into each other at the boundary, creating that marbled, tie-dye effect. You can also alternate pours for more marbling throughout.

Top and serve
Sprinkle dragon fruit powder on top for color. The contrast between the green and magenta is the whole point. First few sips taste different depending on which layer you're pulling from, which is honestly more fun than a smoothie has any right to be.
Baker's Notes
- The green layer needs to be poured first because it's usually denser from the banana. Denser layer on the bottom, lighter layer on top. This is smoothie physics.
- Chlorella powder is intensely green and has a grassy, seaweed-adjacent taste. A little goes a long way. One teaspoon gives you the color without making it taste like a fish tank.
- If you can't find dragon fruit kombucha (Agua de Kefir makes the one Erewhon uses), regular coconut water works. You lose some probiotic benefit but the flavor and color stay the same.
- The original has a Magic Mind Mental Performance Shot in it, which is a nootropic supplement. Skip it. The lemon, lime, and spinach are carrying the flavor. The nootropics are carrying the marketing.
